Samahan ng mga Pinay in Ulm, e.V.

SPU is a Filipino organization in Ulm and Neu-Ulm for the promotion of Filipino culture through participation in international communities in our region and as a cultural platform for the Filipino community in our region. The purpose of SPU is to preserve and promote the arts and culture of the Philippines and to support people in need in the Philippines. The purpose is fulfilled through organization of cultural events in Germany and the provision of financial assistance to individuals in distress in the Philippines. We are also ready to support other Filipino organizations in Germany. Kulturnacht, International Fest, International Parade, Concerts of Filipino artists, groups from the Philippines, Filipinos - Summer Party, Christmas Party, masses, etc.
SPU or Samahan ng mga Pinay in Ulm is 12 years already. We have 25 members as of the moment. We are eager to be of assistance and to serve as a platform to our fellow Filipinos/Filipinas in the region.
We have a minimum of two beneficiaries each year, Philippine-wide selected by corresponding members. Each member has a chance to select their beneficiary or charity. Depending on the urgency, some charities are extended on timely necessity like when parts of Leyte were hit by the Haiyan typhoon, or donation to the victims of the Taal volcano eruption, to name a few.
